Unsaturated hydraulic conductivity (K) is a measurement of soil water-retaining ability in unsaturated soil. The properties are necessary to predict the movement water current study aims create an alternative experimental device estimate theKusing moisturesensors. set up was designed and fabricated order measure volumetric content using GS3 (Campbell) sensors at different heights. data obtained from validated mass moist sand column measured electronic balance.TheKwas estimated with help retention functions. primary materials used were solute-free sand. It found that reading good match calculated root mean square error 0.0091. Soil curve plotted Peters-Durner-Iden (PDI) model.The results compared van Genuchten function. TheKprediction wasinitially equivalentfor both models, but lateroverpredicts falling rate increasing matric suction before underpredict after 200 cm on sandy soil.PDI function able extrapolate film flow region
